Ds (9mo act) has been in OT since about Mar/Apr for SPD and goes once a week, and has twice daily play sessions with me. He has PT since May due a brain infection that knocked him for six and completely weakened his left side and he goes twice a week for that.
Long story short; he's still not able to sit unaided, his grasp is still very weak and unable to even hold things with his left hand not that he picks things up anyway, I've also notice that when you stand him on your lap and put weight on his legs it's like his left legs gives out and he leans to the left... of that makes sense.
As for his SPD, I'm not sure how well his therapy is working... he's still very irritable, fussing, and still has a very long list of "traits" that therapy should be helping with, the only thing I've noticed is that he can tolerate some sounda but unexpected, loud, high pitched noises still scare him, he can tolerate the car seat with disractions...
Anyway, what I'm wondering is of your baby/child has PT and/or OT when did you start to notice changes? Am I expecting too much too soon?
I'm still completely new all this, and don't know what's what. His PT who is lovely says he'll get there when he gets there and she sees improvements but I don't.
