Dd asd 5 in July is getting to big for size 6 nappies. When can I get the ones of NHS that are bigger? How do I get them?

You should be able to get them through the continence service dd 2 was referred through her special school

Ask HV (now) or school nurse when she starts school to refer you to the continence service. They will usually do an assessment of your DD's continence needs and pass on the information, so you'll not need to trail out anywhere.

Meantime, and because you will only get 4 nappies a day from most PCTs, there's a few options you can buy yourself.

If you want or don't mind pullups, you can use night time pull ups such as underjams or drynights - easy to get from a supermarket in a pinch and Amazon often have good prices on subscribe and save.

Libero do nappies in a 7 and pull ups in a 7 www.tenadirect.co.uk/children-products/ Not tried the ordinary pull ups, but DS1 had the nappies and they were quite good, if a little smelly because of the lack of "stuff" added to them. This is what you will probably get if Tena supply your area.

If attends supply your area, you'll probably get their XS slips. This is what DS1 gets. They're very absorbant and rarely leak, but, as we discovered are very satisfying to pop, leaving a fluffy mess everywhere.

Oh - and pampers do make a 6+, but I've never seen it on sale anywhere that I shop.

Interesting - thanks for asking :0) my six year old is in size six pull ups and they not longer fit. We have been refered to incontenance clinic so hope it's not too long a wait.

It is more than a little sad that I've become such a nappy nerd

Both Asda and Tesco near us do a size 6+. Might be because they are superstores though.

I would second the recommendation of the Libero nappies from Tena Direct. If you contact them they should send you a free sample so that you can make sure they're suitable before buying them.
