Hi there,
I am Australian and moving to UK next year with my two children. I have a son who is turning 7 end of this year, so he will be commencing Year 2 next year. I have a daughter who will be starting in Reception next year. My son has PDD-NOS (ASD) diagnosed. Quite intelligent, has some in class assistance to stay on track so he doesn't distract class. He is in mainstream school here and just has a few behavioural issues. We are looking to moving in the Kingsgate area in Horsham at this stage, so wondering what schools you recommend and how I start about enrolling, paperwork etc - what is a statement??? etc. Need some help - would be appreciated. We are coming out in September to visit and look at some schools but probably won't be moving until April next year at this stage. I will have letter from his paed as well as other reports from his current school with what he requires in class as well as supporting docs from his OT and Speech Therapist. Could someone please direct me - would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
