Getting a asd diagnosis?

After today's meeting with a private ep she said ds might have asd. How do I go about getting this tested?

I have asked his pead before and she said he can't have asd as he makes eye contact and laughs.

Another bloody fight to fight. At what point can I can be put out of my misery? If I dig much more I swear I will find he's the missing link or something as it never stops coming, there always something more, something to fight to investigate.

I feel crap for myself but worse for him. It's so unfair. He's a sweet kid as all our kids are.

How old is your ds? Could you write down everything you/ep think fits ASD, and take it back to paed to talk through? Is he within spitting distance of M-Chat age? Would he have passed it? (Would he pass it even now if he is older?)

He's six - we have always though it's asd but he got a dyspraxia diagnosis with sensory processing disorder dx last year. All his asd traits ( of which there are plenty) have been put down to sensory. He scored badly for the toddler checklist.

He chews clothes, flaps, tip toe walks, language disorder etc.
