My son aged 5 has just been dx with ASC. The dr suggested it probably wouldn't be severe enough to receive a statement. the school are very good at the moment but he's only in year 1. He gets help from other kids TAs who have a statement, however this doesn't seem fair on either my child or the other one. Were could pay privately for a specialised helper to go into the school but I've never seen this mentioned or heard about it so I guess it doesn't happen in state schools? ( I know private sector would be very happy with this offer ) Does anyone have any experience of private TAs in state schools?
