Both have been back in touch! Now need to decide which one i use as I don't think I can afford both :-( my daughter does have as well as dyslexia a significant delay in her receptive language and working memory and some difficulty as well in expressive language.

There maybe asd there but I really don't know. The tribunal in the judgement mention the salt report a lot. School said they would refer to specialist teaching service but all they've done is make the call and the teaching service have no idea what to suggest so that's the end of that!

So which one do I see ? Daphne keen is booking now for August , not sure about margo but sent the paperwork off today so guess I will hear back once that's been done.

also has anyone used their health insurance to see them? daphne says she accepts it - we do have bupa through dh work but wondered if it will easily cover this and not sure how I would explain to bupa why I want my daughter to be seen = worried in case I use the wrong terminology

I had both and am glad I did. Belt and braces.

The kidney might be more painful than the kitchen Grin

On one hand MS is a SALT whereas DK is a consultant dev paed. On the other MS does formal assessment but DK doesn't. Depends on the amount of existing assessment that can be presented as multi-disciplinary.

I have OT and SALT reports done already so guess developmental paed may be best - had lunch with a friend and she felt that given she has had quite a few assessments at school plus the LA EP is coming next week to see her it might be good for her to have an assessment outside of school which I think is good idea as the teacher has no understanding of her needs at all. I may still go for margo as well but im now waiting to see if and when she would be able to offer an appointment and that may be some time away. I didn't expect to hear back from daphne keen so quickly if im honest hence why I got in touch with margo as well
