Question about ASD and ODD

Is it possible to 'be on the spectrum' and have ODD?

Dd2 ( just turned 8 and in yr 3) has behavioural problems, have posted about her and her school/exclusions before here, the head and her teacher are both convinced she is on the spectrum, which I agree with. I came across ODD which she ticks every box for. I have also read about PDA which she ticks some boxes for as well.

Behaviour support have said she is quite complex in that she has traits from many different things. She was having a slightly settled time so they closed her case.

We are back at the pead in august and going by our experience last time, I want to be more assertive and not leave with 'she is not a naughty girl but there is nothing wrong with her. Let her have her own way sometimes and she won't react the way she does'. She was seen January 13.

sorry for the long post, so many thibgs going through my head right now.

Pretty sure my asd/adhd 7 year boy has PDA, not sure about ODD. ,he doesn't present in the same way as other autistic children, he is not routine orientated and doesn't respond to visual charts. He won't do anything he doesn't want to do and is now refusing school. I am losing the will to live as getting him to do anything involved coaxing, bribing, persuading , he takes up so much energy

My DS had a lot of ODD signs but was eventually diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome which was causing many of his ODD problems. Especially before he was diagnosed, when we and the school didn't recognise all his Asperger's issues and didn't make enough allowances and we couldn't support him as well as he needed, that made him very stressed and angry and defiant as a result. Even afterwards I use a mix of ODD and autism-special strategies. The Explosive Child book gets recommended here quite a bit, I think it was originally written for kids with ODD but it fitted my DS very well.
