Hi

Which online site gives you PEC cards?

I am not doing PEC cards on my DS, but to help with his understanding by giving him extra visual support.

Thanks.

You can get them from Amazon.

The official PECS software is very expensive - we just made pictures in clip art and then laminated then. One option is that some local libraries have the proper PECS software on their systems and you can go in and print off some symbols?

I have downloaded images from the Internet (but avoid Sparklebox), but most of the time use photos (take them on the ipad and print them off) as I think they are clearer than some of the drawings. I also have an album of photos of stuff and people on the ipad, to use.

We get ours from DS2's SALT (i.e. the SALT who has him on her caseload, she sees him every few months) - she makes them up and posts them to us. Smile You can get a lot from ebay too, not too pricy.

you can make your own cards on mrsriley.com - its a pay site but not expensive and makes the whole thing much easier especially if you want to put words on too, then you just print and laminate at home.

some libraries have software too. If yours doesn't you can ask them to buy it - I did and we now have software in all local libraries and it gets used for e.g. for dementia as well as sen.
