Hi all dd2 (4.9years) has a private app with a psychiatrist next week. She has sensory integration issues as well as symptoms of other things such as HFA. Anyway NHS dragging their heels and we are struggling so we booked a private app. It will last for 90 mins.

Any last minute advice about what to do/not do?? and how to make the most of the app time. DH is coming with me as well (which may be more of a hindrance!) and we have already forwarded an A4 list of issues which we have to the psych for review before our app.

What should I ask him for? What tests do psychiatrists do? We want them to assess for HFA so they can discount it if necessary or help her if she does have it.
thanks!

I meant thats what we hope to achieve by end of it ie have an app to perform some sort of test. We have got OT report, salt, music therapist and pead reports and a school report to take with us.

zzzzz Oh my goodness, they did that much? What county are you in? For my DS we just had the paediatrician, audiology and then ADOS assessment.
