You've probably come across him already but the NAS lady just here recommended this chap here as a cnsultant specialising in education and DLA for SN kids- he has a child with AS himself.

No not heard of him before, is that him in the picture on the site?

If so am mighty tempted to get him to come and visit Hahahahahah, (hope DH doesnt read this!!!)

Will ask our psych if he knows him.

Are you going to get him to do a consultation for Sam?

We're getting one for Sam. Spoke to him on the phone for an hour- goodness he knows his stuff!
gave us loads of pointers, went through the case, described Sam to a tee (which means he would know your DS pretty well LOL)- seemed bang on, frankly.

He isn't free, but he already pointed out I should be getting carers allowance as Sam gets Higher DLA- which'll cover it nicely.

he's IPSEA trained, by the way. And he's just got his own child back into mainstream after several years being excluded.

WooHoo go girl, wait until you go to a meeting with the LEA and take someone who knows what they are talking about, watch their faces!!
