I am surprised as the lady we saw at the Comm Paed clinic was quiet sure there was nothing to worry about with DS (much to my upset) but was referring him for to SALT and for a hearing test and to se a Comm Paed after that.
The letter I got in addition to the agreed appointments a Cambridge behavioural questionaire for us and the school to fill in.
I doubt the school will be able to answer most of the questions, as they didn't even know about his latest two month old obession ?
So I am concerned that they are going to end up with two sets of very different responses. How will that help ?
Plus some of the questions I am struggling with...would he prefer a party or library, in reality he prefers home and quiet...but I guess it would be the party because if the food and cake, he certainly wouldn't bother with the children at either location.
And I have never tried to get him to remember a telephone number, he is only 5.8yo.
Just worrying a bit that I might fill this in wrong. I did ask DH to help me fill it in but he said I know our son best and he was happy that I filled it in on my own.
On another note, he went to the playdates house this morning and it seems to go ok. Until he demanded to come home. I rushed over to collect him and he went straight on the computer plus wanted a couple of glasses of juice, so very thirsty. He wasn't offered a drink at the other house and it never occured to him to ask for one. Should he do that at his age 5.8yo ? Or is that worth noting in the behavioural diary ?
