YIPPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! It was agreed at panel on friday that she will be statemented!!! I feel a bit because she needs it, but because I know she will now get the support she needs.

Good news, know what you mean about the happy sad thing. How old is she SGK? A friend whose DS already has a statement says we should try and get ds4 statemented when he is 3 so it's all up and running for when he starts school.

Woohoo.

well done, and in time for the new term as well. lets hope the instigate all the recommendations asap and she can start receiving help straight away.

She is 6. We applied for a statement in 2004 and 2005 but it was delined both times. This time it was the school that done it and I put my letter in too.

I think it's fantastic news sgk

If you didn't get it I think dd would have really struggles without it.

just spoken to the LEA again, and its been agreed that they will assess her, not full statement yet. I asked if it can be refused further down the line, and he said that it can happen but its very rare.

had a meeting with the EP yesterday and she said that the LEA have already decided that DD1 WILL get a statement, they are just working out how many hours support she needs.
