As we had to go private to get the correct diagnosis for my son (ASD) and as I'm still smarting from my CAMHS appointment yesterday, this is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Has anyone noticed that bit about the local offer in the draft Code of Practice where it says LAs must work with local clinical commissioning groups to ensure that people can have ready access to sources of Education, health and care support? And did we all do a bit of mind-boggling at what magic wand was going to be waved between now and September to give all children ready access to CAMHS?

I notice that what I posted on the original thread on here is included in that submission - it would have been nice to have been asked if that was OK!!

Thanks - I am sorry if you were confused about that but I specifically asked on that thread for contributions (indeed that was what the thread was about).

I then asked if people were happy for me to use those contributions and then made the report available prior to submission (via this site) for people to see via emailing me.

That's an amazingly comprehensive document and I think brilliantly sums up the feedback I've seen on here, as well as some of my own experiences, well done IE.

Ah fair enough, I must have missed that. Must read threads more carefully!

MeirEyaNewAlibi · 22/05/2014 01:16

Wow! That's a really good report

StarlightMcKenzie · 22/05/2014 07:48

Excellent report.

DraggingDownDownDown · 29/05/2014 19:08

Two of my quotes are in it. Feel quite proud (in a bizarre way!)

Ineedmorepatience · 29/05/2014 19:34

Great report IE, a lot of hard work has gone into it I am sure. I hope it makes a difference Smile

Courage can give voice to those who are voiceless. Those of us who have a little courage, we can develop more...Develop enough courage so that you can stand up for yourself and then stand up for somebody else. Maya Angelou

Being reading lots of Maya Angelou quotes in the news and thinking about this board and how powerful it is and how amazing the people on here are.

Really strong report. Well done IE and to all of you who had the courage to speak up and give our kids a voice. Thanks
