Has anyone had a sucessful claim for DLA for a dyslexia child.

It isn't given for WHAT the child is diagnosed with but as some compensation for the additional work in looking after them due to their difficulties.

If the dyslexia means for example that they can only attend swimming lessons on a 1:1 basis or have to get taxies everywhere because they can't use buses, or are up several times in the night etc then they will qualify.

Thanks yes I understand it's for a child's extra needs not diagnosis just wondered if there was anyone that had experience of applying and being successful. :)
Or just applying for a dyslexia child.
