Transfer of school

Does anyone have any experience of how long it takes for a MS to MS secondary transfer with a statement.
Long story but we have just put a request in for a transfer but LA have been very vague on how long this could take.

I don't think there is any time limit. They'll have to consult the new school formally and given them time to decide whether they can meet your child's needs - in theory I think they should give them 15 school days to respond - but there may be further discussions and negotiations. On a total guess, I'd say if you haven't heard anything within 4-5 weeks you should start chasing.
