....woman just called from central sen, they are issuing a statement. Proposed statement should be with us day after tomorrow ( when I will probably be starting a thread saying, 'Whaaaaaaaa! Ds's statement is shite!...)

It has taken months of bloody delays, cock ups and bad advice (EHCP my fecking arse) but for tonight at least I am going to drink a glass of something cold and bubbly and relax.

Oh and thankyou for being lovely, wise geese and giving me such good advice and propping up when I am gloomy. Thanks

hazeyjane · 13/05/2014 19:55

Thankyou everyone, it is such a huge sense of relief.

Without it he wouldn't be able to go to the sn unit, and I can't imagine him going anywhere else.

TAC meeting to discuss transition on Monday, then I will start panicking frantically about my sweet boy going to school.Smile

autumnsmum · 13/05/2014 19:57

Will he definitely get a place in the unit? He totally deserves to

SauvignonBlanche · 13/05/2014 20:00

Oh that is fantastic, Jaded, your news bought a little tear to my eye - it has been a long road hasn't it. I'm so glad you are getting ds's sorted now.
Definitely up for comparing notes. The big thing for us is the speech and language, ds's SALT was very specific in her report, and I just hope that translates to the statement. If not my big arse kicking boots will come out.

Almost 100% sure that we have the place, Autumnsmum.

Perspective, any news on your ds's statement yet?

Perspective21 · 13/05/2014 21:09

Still waiting...must be creeping closer...may try a speculative phone call to see how much longer...I'll get back to you all x

ouryve · 13/05/2014 21:37

Just a week short of a year since his AR, I accepted DS1's amended final statement, today, btw. It's far from perfect, but at least pays more than lips service to the range of his difficulties. Nothing is quantified, but there's plenty specified, which is more what he needs at his level of functioning. I'm also confident that New School are extremely on the ball and will iron out bumps when we have AR, next Feb (letter with statement says 9 months)

Crossing fingers for bjk that she gets some good news about SA, soon. We could do for the good news to be infectious.

ouryve · 13/05/2014 21:38

Good luck to you, too, Perspective.
