Probably moving to Scotland. My oldest has special needs in that he has Bilateral integration problems. Basically he is very bright but doesnt write. Teachers used to feel he day dreamed and was scruffy/lazy. He now uses a Neo wordprocessor.
I have sweated blood to get him to OTs, Peadiatricians etc and get them and the school to agree on what DS problems were and how to deal with them. The School were the slowest to come onboard but they are here now. I just about understand how IEPs work for special needs kids here but Im guessing its totally different in Scotland. Can anyone enlighten me? is there a code of practice I could read? Do you think I could just present my son to his next school (where ever we end up) as a non -writing Neo user or will I have to do the whole "proof" thing again? Im a little overwhelmed at the prospect of moving him.
