Quite a long one- gives his targets and achievements. Some funny bits like "this inquisitive side to his nature certainly keeps Mrs LSA on her toes" and his next target in this area is apparently "to understand the school environment and where he can and can't go".

The Head's comments are " Well done A - a lovely first report! A has made some very positive steps in settling into school. He is a delightful, valued member of our school family".

At which stage I had to stop mysefl blubbing.

Who would have thought it? I was convinced school would be a disaster. It's been a really pleasant surprise.

How fantastic, Jimjams and Jimjams Jr
(I'm glad you accept the word delightful as genuinely positive in this instance- I have to admit that you got me all worried when you mentioned a while back that you thought delightful=nightmare, as I have used it occasionally in letters when I think a kid is utterly gorgeous/fab and I was worried that their parents might think I thought the total opposite!)
