Good to hear that tribunal has not bought into the new LA 'reality'.

Oh FFS!

I mean why do you deserve a bloody medal just for getting a frigging assessment and you DO deserve a bloody medal.

I'm SO bloody angry on your behalf! OF COURSE your child should be assessed. Bastards!!!!

StarlightMcKenzie · 11/04/2014 14:54

Oops, sorry. Don't mind me. Hope you can enjoy the 'victory' which I know is so very hard won but still nothing more than a basic entitlement to the entry level.

That's why I get so cross. These are vulnerable kids and their life chances. You're an absolutely wonderful Mother.

tryingtokeepintune · 11/04/2014 15:02

Yay!

Bjk Yes it was a quick descision - letter from tribunal posted on the 9th - hearing was on the 1st. I had evidence that all his needs had not been assessed and despite full time 1-1 support and small groups that no progress had been made. The Judge was mindful of the SEN policy to fund resources to schools in our area for children with SEN but it was because my son had already had lots of provision made by school which hasn't been working and that he wasn't convinced all needs had yet been identified that he ordered to assess and he told the LA they needed to try something else and that would probably mean determining my son's needs.
Thanks for everyone's support :)

Well done, wasuup. Enjoy the rest.

bjkmummy · 11/04/2014 16:30

I thought it had come quite quickly from when I thought you had had your hearing - im so pleased for you Smile but its madness that they make parents go through this just to get an assessment
