Ds - ASD, ADHD - has a cold, is tired and in need of rest but is flatly refusing any such thing.

Its been the most frustrating few days.....its like everything he knows is inaccessible at the moment, everythig he routinely does has to be reminded and retaught.......

I can actually 'see' how slow his processing skills are at the moment....its so scary to see my bright intelligent ds so confused and unable to function as he normally does.

anyone else have this with monir illnesses?

I actually get the opposite - cognitive boost! Although DS is slow and tired he is much more responsive.

Sorry your little one has a cold, not ideal during holidays, actually not ideally ever!

1hmmm, well I guess we are all different.
His inability to function or cope while feeling rough got him excluded this week, so just glad it is the holidays now.

his arguing skills have improved no end...but I am not appreciating so much either.

The cold is on its way out now so hopefully all will be well in the morning.
