Dd1 has ASD and we have pinpointed triggers, so avoid such things. She is 4, im now finding it hard to distinguish if she is sometimes just being a naughty 4 year old or is it the ASD. We're just struggling a but with her lately. Does that even make sense? Confused

Yes hickory that makes complete sense.

My experience with DS who is on the spectrum, is that he needs very firm boundaries, firm directions, verbal discipline reinforced with visuals, and lots and lots and lots of reflective listening.

I found "How to talk so Kids will listen" a lifesaver. He just seems to hear me better when I discipline him like that.
