Dec 1999 - SIl was teaching English in Japan for a year so went and visited her and then over to the States for 5 months.

how bout you...

really interesting living in the small town my SIL lived in - went and visited with her adult English class. Different I suppose from being a tourist although we did have some touristy adventures too.

I was in a small town about an hour outside Hiroshima up in the hills. Taught in an agricultural high school 1992-1993. Loved it.

wow - I loved Hiroshima ( being a modern history teacher - stands to reason) My SIL also did an agricultural exchange where she stayed with a family for a year.

She lived north of Tokyo - Ikiharbra ( poor spelling I know)area I think.

I liked Hiroshima, but I liked my little town more It's probably quite a big town now, lots of development was planned. But when I was there I cycled through the paddy fields to school.

Oh I loved that place!
