I have a meeting with the patronising asd support person and I need to be able to call her on her patronising attitude. I do do a very sceptical look. perhaps I should just imagine her as one of the recalcitrant children I used to teach. she is young enough after all.

Dd3's HT said to me the other day that he thinks some of Dd3's behaviour is controlling... I laughed and said "Welcome to the world of autism, welcome to my world!!"

Just show patronising woman that you have extensive knowledge and she should back away quietly

I wrote down about cutting comments to use as needed. Every time I get angry I look at them and laugh

What is it with "ASD support" people and their patronising attitude...
it's as if they secretly believe that the 'refrigerator mother' theory still held water.
Or 'it's all down to the parenting, you know'.

I've come to live by Eleanor Roosevelt....'no-one can make you feel inferior without your consent'.

Do try to pity the lady, for she knows not of what she speaks.

Or you could just smile sweetly, nod your head and continue doing your thang.
