DS2 said hello!

On the last day of our holiday he came running up to me while I was reading the paper, pushed it down, pulled my face up to look at him and said 'hello', with a little wave of his hand. So delighted - it was the deliberate way he did it, obviously wanting to make social contact, that pleased me (as much as the word tbh).

Has carried on doing it since we came back - and when I said I was going shopping yesterday he did his usual 'preparation to wail' face, then seemed to think better of it, walked over to me and said 'goodbye', with the same little wave. .

Gf rules! (And I don't mean she whose name must not be mentioned....)

Lovely Sphil! Especially, the rethink about wailing and saying something instead.

I have to say he hasn't done it much since. Only if I'm cuddling DS1!
