I just had to tell people who I know would understand. dd has just turned 2 has white matter brain damage and developmental delays and has just walked! I couldnt believe it shes been going back and forth between me and her portage worker for ages and is loving it. she lacks so much in confidence it was amazing she trusted herself to let go. at 37 weeks pregnant she couldn't have done it at a better time for me!

sorry for such a big headed post but people just dont get it they just think at 2 its about time!

ive had loads of support and advise from you all and wanted to share with you Grin

Well done minipip! So glad she is loving walking and that it is excellent timing for you. Flowers Cake and I suppose Brew, not Wine, to celebrate!

Lovely to read Smile. Another one here whose DC didn't walk till over 2, but it's still just as thrilling as if they had been 12 months

Beanypip · 18/03/2014 14:24

Well done to your dd Beanypip!! What a big occasion and one I am sure you didn't know if you would ever see or not!

My dd 2 years 6 months similar story to yours. She is making good progress and we are hoping that she is not too far away from independent walking. When she does I will be the first one on here boasting about it!!

itsnothingoriginal · 20/03/2014 20:05

Wonderful Grin you must be over the moon!

Beanypip · 20/03/2014 20:29
