DLA Mobility - report requested from school

Finally decided to try for high rate mobility for ds (6) ASD & severe learning difficulties as it is getting much more difficult to keep him safe when out and about.

Claim has been in for weeks and had a letter this morning saying they have now written to school for a report. He goes to a special school and I am confident they will echo what I have already said in the claim form.

Is this a promising sign that they haven't said NO yet?
What are other peoples experiences?

It at least means they're looking seriously based on the evidence they already have. I submitted the evidence from DS2's last annual review, with my renewal claim, as that had actual numbers in, as well as a lot of descriptive stuff.

Fairly standard tbh.
