We had dd's anuual cardiac check up.... the result - they first said they would see us in two years - we smiled nicely and said thanks but sorry won't be here... then when I asked a question about dd's heart condition - the consultant corrected me and said - basically she no longer has a heart condition Normally I don't take kindly to being corrected but this time I loved it. Basically her heart is like a normal one. The consultant also told us there are a number of fine cardiac consultants in the city in Aus we are moving to.

What a shame I then had a GP appt and discussed the new addition to the family due in November and the doctor started reeling off a list of tests that I would ' need' to have... I knew I would not get away with as little interference as possible... just glad we are moving soon..

Nothing can take the shine away from the fact that my dd NO LONGER HAS A HEART CONDITION!!!

Fantastic news eidsvold! Don't mention docs to me today - I've just had a right run-in with a GP receptionist! What Patients' Charter? Still, your news has cheered me up!

How wonderful eidsvold to hear yet more good news from you. how are you feeling with the pregnancy by the way?

eidsvold · 10/03/2004 06:26

thanks so much for all your good wishes... we are both ( me and dh) so relieved.... dh even got a smile out of the consultant correcting me.... he keeps saying to dd - it was funny when the doctor corrected mummy wasn't it - and of course she smiles... the only person to smile at his lame jokes....

so far with the pregnancy - feel brilliant... although last time I had morning sickness from about week 7 ( started first day back at school after the christmas holidays) and it lasted until week 13/14.... and then on the odd occasion after that. So am waiting to see what will happen there.....

We were both joking it took us forever to decide on a name for dd - she did have one from birth though... we were so glad she was a girl cause we could not agree on boy's names and that was the only girl's name we could agree on......problem with being a teacher - too many names conjure up images of annoying or dreadful students.
