Just had the Inclusion officer on the phone, and she's happy tomake my suggested changes to section 2 of the statement... AND whilst they aren't increasing the 10 hours at present, thats becuase its only for part time provision [12.5 hours] in nursery setting, and an early review will be called to make sure he continues to get a high level of support once he starts school.

So basically, come November I'll be ringing up saying "when are you doing this review then?" and making sure everyone involved can do an updated report...

It also means I will get a chance to liase with the SENCO at the primary [she'll be at all his IEP reviews from now on] to see how we'll plan the transition and what level of support she feels appropriate.

But right now I'm just very very releived, it will be reviewed and an "appropriate level of support for a child with needs as complex as elijahs provided"

now just need to write down who I spoke to nad what was discussed as back up just in case...

It is, though I'm beginning to think its all going too easy for us... maybe my batle will come with the review, or maybe, theres a chance all the hype hte LEA put out about themselves and thier excellent support and provision is true...

All I hope now is the statement will be in place FAST enough to be in effect early in his last term at preschool, then they HAVE to provide hte 10 hours and cover all the aspects, and theres no way they can justify not doing his basket work sessions etc... and if they don't I'll complain. ha ha ha.

When you email, is there someone else you can copy in so its not just between the two of you? That can be tricky as it can look like you don't trust them but, if there's someone else involved who is obvious then its fine.

There isn't sadly, but I can print out the email, which is a reply to one she sent me months ago confirming the original request would be going to the panel on a specific day... I keep everything, and its a very handy coincidence that its all gone back to her, rather then the woman I've got named as the person I should contact at county hall, who's neerever at her desk, or even in the office.
