DLA should we apply for ds1?

Hi, New to this.
Finally have got a diagnosis of DCD for ds1 (8yo) and we are also waiting for an appointment to confirm suspected hypermobility syndrome.
He needs a lot more care and attention than other children of his age, can't walk far without being exhausted and in pain.
Would we be entitled to DLA for him?
What's the proccess like? How much evidence do I need?
Have now got OT's report.
TIA

Certainly do apply and asap. Also if you do not ask you do not get.

I would use the Cerebra guide to complete this document as the DLA forms are very hard going.

I second what atillia has said. Also I wrote a 'day in the life of ' diary page and sent that in too. Good luck .

I think the DLA form has changed since the Cerebra guide was written. I'm trying to do it at the moment and the sections don't match up. But some of the information about what to include is still useful.

Thanks all. Will look at the cerebra guide, sounds useful.
