Ds1 has been diagnosed with high functioning autism/Aspergers. Thank you to all who have supported me on this board, particularly polter.

He started an intensive OT course today with two other children his age. He seems so much younger than them, I was shocked when they were the same age. Course seems really good though which is positive.

Great news hug sad too of course because no one wants their child to receive any kind of diagnosis but hopefully it will help the correct support to be put into place for your Ds.

Good luck and be kind to yourself Smile

I can't resist saying congratulations, although it seems totally inappropriate also.

Thank you all. zzzzz I have baileys waiting for when ds2 is in bed. It's dh's turn to do the bedtime routine with ds1 so I don't have to wait until 9 Grin.

Back later, meltdown over chips ATM. (I'm ok but may wobble in a day or so, at the moment I'm glad it wasn't me going doolally).

Glad you got a dx but sad he needed it. Pre dx I said ds was a enigma, now he is just ds. Puzzle solved - I feel like I know him better now. But like all my kids I never understand him lol!

Just told my dmil. It went well, she finally seems to understand, it must be hard for grandparents to accept.
