Mindfulness & ASD - Cardboardcactus

I know it is ages since this came up, but I said I would try to find the info about the Mindfulness course I went on. I found it today, it was in 2006!! It was run by an organisation called ASPECT, I looked them up and they are still there although I NEVER hear anything about them. Their website is www.aspectcounsel.co.uk
I HAVE NO CONNECTION OR INTEREST IN THIS ORGANISATION
As I said on a thread sometime in 2013, I found this had a big impact on me. I had gone along expecting some practical information about dealing with Challenging Behaviour in ASD, only to find that it was nothing like that and all very much about dealing with your own feelings and understanding how you have the most influence over your OWN behaviour. I thought it was all a bit "hug a tree" but decided to go with it as I was there anyway and found it very inspiring. Looking at their website it does look a bit psychobabbley and the dreaded psychotherapy is mentioned but, ignore that, and see if you can embrace Mindfulness. It says that their 2014 training schedule is coming out soon.
I also found a copy of my registration paper and it cost £88.13 for a one day course in 2006. A rather odd amount, but it was all slightly odd…..
….. maybe it was all a dream??? Grin

Thanks Davros, it's so good of you to get back to me about this! Grin I will look it up straight away. I still need something like this I think - inner calm is as elusive as ever!!!
Thanks again! Smile
