Statement review

Hi

How frequently is the statement reviewed for nursery year children?

My daughter's statement came out 20th Sept. We had the first meeting about implementation(which I had to drive because I needed them to hire my ABA tutor) on 30th Sept and then a 2nd one on 16th Oct. They agreed to continue running ABA in school once I proved that the statement's targets were met through the program. Her key worker takes 0 interest in her (which suits me). Took them all of October to finalise the arrangement(after a threat(I use that term loosely) that my daughter will not go to this nursery if they dont agree to ABA). the ABA tutor was hired as LSA by the nursery.

Now our tribunal is on 11th March and all paperwork has to be submitted by 11th Feb. Out of woodwork, the key worker is taking notes(I know why, the LEA are taking the school as witness and need to submit reports) and has set up a statement review meeting..

How frequently does a statement review happen? I have the ABA workshop on 23rd Jan anyways - wouldnt that alone give her enough to put in her report(if she bothers to attend it and listen to what is being said)? I am just nervous they will use it as a way to try and get rid of ABA(they havent paid my tutor for Nov, Dec and Jan so far).

Thoughts?

Just heard back from the LEA EP. They want to review the statement so that up to date information can be presented to the tribunal. Why do they need to review the statement.. Surely, assessing her progress should be the goal - no?

Mm strange maybe start a thread about it as a lot of people have experience of tribunals

Spoke to her.. They arent looking to 'review' the statement. Its the review of her targets ahead of the tribunal.. Well then say so and stop sending poor parents in a panic
