repairing motability car?

DH has reversed DS2's motability car into a tractor and broken the plastic cover on one of the lights. How do we go about getting it fixed, do we contact motability or the Vauxhall garage where we got it?

I think if you cause damage to the vehicle then you either have to get it fixed and pay for it yourself or claim on the insurance through Royal Sun Alliance. From what you say, I doubt that the latter option would make financial sense as you would have to pay an excess on the policy. Find out the cost of the cover or an entire unit as no doubt they can't just replace the cover plus the cost of fitting, if its is not something you can do yourself and make your decision on which option is best once you know the cost

Forgot to say - I'm assuming the tractor wasn't damaged - otherwise you may need to go through insurance anyway.

Thanks. The tractor is fine, it's just our car that was damaged.

Contact Vauxhall to see if you can get it repaired there. Or insurance. Excess is £75 normally.

Any repairs need to be done via the garage you got the car from as its not technically your car. Depending on the cost you can either pay yourself or via the insurance. DH knocked a wing mirror off ours on his first outing!!
