I am in tears here. Sent off ds latest pead, ot and private salt report and attendance form last week for yesterday's deadline refusal to assess.

The lea have dropped my tribunal. He is being assessed. So happy yet so crushed. Absolute confirmation ds is defiantly not a normal little boy.

It's just the first step I know, such a hard road ahead yet.

But I love you girls. This is 100% down to the help you give to everyone here every day.

Well done 2boysSmile

I am in the process of just starting appeal against refusal. I have just spoken to DS2's caseworker who said that LA acceptance of inadequate progress plus an ASD diagnosis does not mean that he needs a statement and that they would see me at appeal Grin I get the feeling she doesn't like me Shock

I remembered your post from Dec but in any case I know they will concede eventually in my 'case' too. It's all about delay. They know they will lose so they take it to the wire and then bail. Makes me so Angry

'said that LA acceptance of inadequate progress plus an ASD diagnosis does not mean that he needs a statement and that they would see me at appeal grin'

Hope you clarified that you didn't mis-hear that, in an email back to her quoting her directly.

It's such a circus isn't it? I saw the COE of AAA once speak and she said simply that 'for most families it is barbaric out there'.

How can so many people know this and yet it remains?

Don't believe that. My sons school told me they have only had one child with his condition before ( really??!!) so there lots of reasons to say his condition is not statement able.

It's about need. My son has poor memory, terrible speech, unable to follow instructions etc - he can't learn like the other kids. I don't care what these people say, if children can't function well at school it's worth pursuing.

Let the tribunal tell you what your child can't have - not the lea
