"Sort your bed out?"
"Yes, I need you to sort it out because I want to go to sleep."
"Ok, but what do I need to do..what's wrong with it? "
"I'm not in it."

When we got to my Mum and Dad's today, my Dad had prepared an envelope with 'To DD2, from the tooth fairy' and a picture of a fairy holding a tooth.

Inside there was a letter:

"Dear DD2

I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to find you last night, because this job was so unexpected. So I asked Nanny and Grandad if it would be ok to leave some money here, just in case.

Love, the tooth fairy."

She was utterly delighted and said 'It's from you! It's from you!' to my Dad. She almost fainted when she had two gold coins - it doesn't matter how many silver coins she has, she only sees the gold ones

lougle I have to ask this, but does your DD remember these night time discussions? DS1 wakes up repeatedly during the night talks and talk, answers questions, sits up, sometimes gets up and is going around his room. He often doesn't remember in the morning. But it's not like sleep-walking - he is awake and responsive. It baffles me sometimes.

It IS strange. He'll be up half a dozen times during the night, and then get up at 5am and say "oh I had such a lovely sleep last night." Seriously?? I'm wiped out! I've been up and down half the night keeping an eye on him!

DS2 (7) was questioning the existence of Santa and xmas and left a stencilled note to him that said 'From DS2: To Santa, Do you exist? Please leave a comment below'
