Hello. I'm new to Mumsnet and through some recent publicity (Daily Mail!) was prompted to do what I've been meaning to do for ages and finally join.
Briefly, I'm a mum of 3. My youngest son, Dan has Cerebral Palsy. Can't walk or stand. I'm fundraising for SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) either at GOSH or in the USA. Among other things, I am hoping to set up a Playgroup, run by mothers, for mothers so working mothers can go to work. Working on venue. Prices will go directly to Dan's fund (www.justgiving.com/OneSmallStepForDan ) and will be substantially cheaper than the professional rates. The idea is its run on trust, without bureaucracy. Am I thinking with my head in the clouds? Can this be done? What will I need to do to achieve this? I live in Haywards Heath in West Sussex. ANY and all advice would be gratefully received.
