Thanks to MNSN we went to Tribunal and got a good statement for DGS. He is in reception in MS with full time TA and twice weekly speech therapy. Annual review due this month - what happens and how can we guard against them reducing the provision? (We are not very popular with the LA) Will any of it matter in September when the new SEN rules come into force?

Ds has his first AR coming up.

HT will submit a report to the LA. HT must first get reports from parents, anyone the LA tell him/her to and any other reports the HT feels are appropriate.

The purpose of AR is to monitor

Childs progress
whether statement is still appropriate or needs amending

Parents get the chance to write a report and this is how you try to safeguard. Personally i will be working very closely with the school too and asking for copies of any reports prepared by anyone.

Thanks Claw. DD will make an appointment with HT to discuss and we will start drafting a parent report. Just so worried they will reduce support going to Tribunal was so stressful but obviously worth it in the end. Good luck with little claw's review.
