Can someone please recommend a tutor for my 3 yo dd, I've posted on yahoo group and vbcommunity but iv yet to get a response.

Hi, have you been on the BCBA website to try and find a consultant near you?
For tutors would you consider training someone up? If so, maybe contact a local university for students or try putting an ad on a nannying website. Sometimes there are people on there who have experience of working with kids with special needs although that isn't necessarily the most important thing.
Also try contacting Bangor University for students on the Behavioural Analysis Masters course. I know that they do lectures remotely at Treetops school so there may be students available locally.

How much experience is enough? Currently someone replied with 2 years experience workin as a tutor, is that ok? What's the difference between a tutor and a therapist?

You could try the ABA Tutor Finder website, though they do charge for viewing CVs () but that can be quite successful.

Gumtree is also good - we found two of our best ever tutors there. Put an ad in the Education/SN teacher section.

No difference between tutor/therapist, some call themselves tutors, some call themselves therapists!

salondon it was just the consultant you have me that quoted 80 but she is very well reversed and has a lot of experience so I understand.

What's the average consultants charge for assessments and reviews?
