My ds is 4 has autism and is still in nappies at night. He holds on all day for a poo so when his nappy goes on he fills it straight away. So using 2 nappies a night.
Hes in size 5 nappies and I was wandering if anyone has used reusable at this age and size? Im wanting to switch to save money and the planet Xmas Wink

We thought about it, but have stuck with pullups so far. I'm still debating it.

If your council does a programme where you get cash back for buying reusable nappies, ring them and ask if you can do it even though he's a bit older. I did, explained DS1's disabilities, and they issued us a voucher that we can use for cashback. I'm still debating whether or not I'll do it or not, but the voucher is good through next year.

I used minki pocket nappies with dd1 who was still in night nappies at 4+. We tried pull ups but she prefered the minkis because 'they are softer on my bottom' as she said

I think we used size large, in fact I've probably got one in the storeroom still. If you'd like it I could send it to you (and some inserts). Its not doing any to anyone in my cupboard...

I used reusables for ds 2 at night until he was 4. You are welcome to them?

I've been using antsy pants with my large 4 year old. I think they make them for kids up to 12 years old. Once you find the right number/type of booster they are really easy to use. I bought 8 and they shipped to Australia from the US for free.

We used cloth nappies until ds grew out of them and then dd came along and couldn't handle 2 in re usables so never really investigated larger ones for ds. We now get disposable nappies free, the continence nurse paid us a visit and set it up for us as ds is over 4 so i wonder if they do this in your area, it will save you a heap of money. Not great for the plantet though I know.
