SLT provision in part 6?

Hi,

I have received a proposed statement for my son (dx ASD) and it has termly speech therapy appointments specified in part 6 of the statement and not in part 3. Part 3 specifies the frequency of SLT activities to be practised at school but not the contact with a speech therapist who will be setting the targets.
My instinct is that I need to have the SLT therapist included in Part 3 too - am I right? I don't really understand what part 6 is all about tbh.
Grateful for any thoughts on this.

If you can show that salt is an educational which is almost most case will be and the fact they've mentioned it in part 3 shows it is then the therapy etc should be in part 3. If its in part 6 it is unenforceable if they therapy in part 6 isn't done. There is lengthy case law about it as well, the LA are trying it on to see if the parent is aware of the law.

The code of practice also states it should be in part 3 as well

I would be having a word with IPSEA about this issue.

SALT should be in both Parts 2 and 3. Quote the Lancashire Agreement at the LEA in question.
