Ds2 got his first pair of piedros and on Friday we are hopefully getting the official ASD diagnosis for ds1.

I'm terrified for Friday. Even though all the individual reports point to ASD and I know he's on the spectrum I am so scared they will just say no. I've read too many horror stories and my stomach is in knots.

I hope so. Of course I will be posting here when I know. His appointment is at 9.30 so luckily I don't have a day of waiting when Friday comes around.

I remember that day so well, I had completely convinced myself that they would say No and when the psychiatrist said she meets the criteria for Asd I nearly jumped for joy.

Of course I didnt want my lovely Dd3 to have Asd but it was there clear as day.

I am honking and flapping madly for you hug

Good luck. DS' ASD was so obvious the Dx was given privately within minutes of us arriving.

We then went through the NHS multidisciplinary process. They didn't want to do it as they accepted the private Dx (that's how obvious it was) but we insisted the full assessment was done lest anyone say we bought the Dx.

There is a Saturday beyond Friday. Focus on that.

Thank you. Having stress re: DS2 today (see my piedro thread). I really hope we get the diagnosis he needs.

Thanks. It hasn't gone to SCAP panel yet but it is next month and paediatrician is recommending an ASD diagnosis. Does that generally mean he will get it?

It sounds like it, Hug. I hope you get the support you need, whatever the diagnosis.

He just said that the panel will meet mid January and he will then write to us with the diagnosis. It's going to drive me bananas until then.
