After her illness last week...

The Neuro we saw at Alder hey is the one that looked after Ellie at 8 months when she had Meningitis. He told us if she survived she would be severly brain damaged

He was so shocked and pleased to see her walk into his room and chatter to him!!

He isn't sure why she had a seizure. He thinks it is more than 50/50 chance that it is the onset of Epilepsy which I am gutted about

But who knows!!

he also said that when he sees other parents at Hospital he will always be able to say "But you should see Ellie Parsons"

so that was nice that she would be used as an example to other parents of ill children

When the Dr read through Ellies notes about last week he read

" seizure, stopped breathing, put on ventilator etc"

I was too shocked to say anything

I thought she went on the ventilator as the meds she was given can affect your breathing, so they like to sedate and ventilate

No one had said to me that she had stopped breathing

I am going to have to ring her Paed just to check.

Just want to know, hopefully for my peace of mind
