Hi all....can advocates/lawyers/parent supporters be not allowed to attend AR with parents? Can the HT actually stop some one like above from coming to AR after parents, request? Is there anything one can do?

Yup you can have an advocate. I checked this one with my lawyer. The advocate does not have to be a "professional" either. In my case I used my child's Godmother, a childhood friend. She honestly has the most intimidating personal aura of anyone I know when riled, though she remains icily polite at all time. In my case that was more useful than letters after her name, as all the legal points had long since been proven iyswim.

No the HT cannot refuse.

My SW & HT tried and failed. I was determined to have an independent witness in that meeting of the sort a court would consider reliable. My bessie as advocate fulfilled that role for me admirably and was able to declare a few home truths, that had I tried would have been shot down in flames instantly. Had I attended alone it would have been game over.

Schools are still subject to the law.

HT can refuse anyone in her school. So hold it not in her school.

I agree with Stalight, the head has the right to say who does and who does not come onto their premises. Therefore you could suggest it happens at LA premises, or even your house.
