17 children with complex needs
8 other children (including our DDs)

Brilliant success. Well behaved children.

The party hostess said that they were much better behaved and more polite than NT groups they have in Grin

Grin that's brilliant.

And I could well believe the behaviour thing (though parents might have suffered a bit later).

DD2 had her moments but stuck with her cousin and did fine.

The party venue was fantastic and they coped admirably with various gluten free, dairy free, etc., requirements, extending menu choices to accommodate and relaxing rules about not bringing own food on site.

They also relaxed their rules about declaring medical conditions because I said we'd be here all night filling in forms and all the parents were staying! Grin

I'm really chuffed for all of you.

Is it worth publishing the venue? The staff sounded like that rare breed we all want. Name and praise time methinks ; )

iwanttoscream · 08/12/2013 13:32

That's fantastic, i've never done a party for that many children sn or not.
Sounds like a fab venue!

The venue was Kids2Day (Chandlers Ford). It turns out that there was a bit of a bunfight over who would host our party Grin

The girl who ran our session has a brother who works at our Special School - total coincidence!
