Statutory assessment question re: timetable

Hi everyone,
I applied for a SA for my DD on 16 August. 6 weeks later they agreed to assess. Tomorrow will be 10 weeks after that (so they should have decided whether or not to issue a statement). Should I hear tomorrow whether they will be providing me with a statement or do I need to wait a further two weeks? (which is the time they have to deliver the draft statement or a note in leiu).

I will call tomorrow and ask them if I know they will tell me the answer.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks :)

If tomorrow is your 10 week deadline they should be able to tell you the decision over the phone even if you don't get it in writing through the post just yet. The next two weeks are for draft statement/note in lieu preparation I think, not time for you to wait to know iyswim.
This is a good calculator www.mkparents.org/statutory-assessment-timeline-calculator.php Input the date your original request went in and this will calculate the dates for each part of the process for you.

BTW never ever accept a Note in Lieu because it is simply not worth the paper it is written on.

Just calculated the dates for ds' request and the final date for statement (and we WILL get there) is ds' 8th birthday- its a bitter-sweet feeling.

I hope if comes before his birthday for you popgoestheweasel.

I called today and we should have it by the end of next week.

I have never seen a statement before do have no idea what to expect. But I'm sure it will make interesting reading. Hmm
