Christmas presents for autistic 9YO son?

I am thinking what to buy for Xmas for my 9 year old son (severe speech/language delay, sensory issues etc) and am looking for things we can do together - I am thinking about easy board games for example. Does anyone have any recommendations for games/toys you have enjoyed playing with your SN children?

my dd1 is 9 also, with severe asd and a speech/language disorder. we play a lot of board games.

some of the particular hits are:

One fish, two fish game
cat in the hat game

any memory pairs game (she particularly likes a flags o the world one at the moment)

Orchard toys games are great. dd1 enjoys:

Two by two (another matching/pairs game)
Shopping list (we also have a version from M&S which is different typres of bag - a school bag, hliday suitcse etc)
Spotty dogs

dog dice has proved popular

as has Take the Cake

she also really enjoys connect 4.

I am sure there are more -I'll go and look on the shelf in her room and report back later!

No problem Smile

I will have a quick check in her room when I put dd1 to bed, and report back if there is anything else of note.

One site I have found really useful is: Happy Puzzle Company - they have some really good things on there.
