IOW, like a lot of this stuff, it looks like it might be helpful, in some respects, but there is a paucity of good quality research research.

This made me laugh, simply for being the worst acronym ever:
Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children (TEACCH)

It's the model supposedly used in the UK though I've never come across it as it was supposed to be delivered.

Handicapped is the word from the 70's when it was named.

I don't mind the word as much as the implied acronym that alludes to supposed teaching.
