How long does a community paed report take?

DD went for her first appointment 2 weeks ago. I was told we would get a report in the post.

How long does it normally take? I've been stalking the postie and he's starting to look scared Grin

I'm desperate for it (which means it will take longer) as school think she is doing fine and don't see that she's really confused and not able to understand what they are asking of her. Also we have a school trip at the end of the month and unless they realise what's going on she will end up lost.

Ours about 3 or 4 weeks.

Taken a couple of months for most of our reports to come in if not longer which I think is ridiculous as how can they remember the child by the time they get round to writing the report. Exception is our lovely CAMHS psychiatrist who got the report to us within 48 hours - that's how it should be done!

It took 4 months each time when my DS was being assessed by the community paed.
By the time the reports came through they were massively out do date.
My advise? Keep hassling them.

Dont give up hope, we have had reports back in anything from 5 days to 2 months!!
You could give the paed's secretary a ring and ask if they have a timescale.

4-6 weeks normal here.

mine hadnt arrived within two weeks of our consultation so I rang the peads receptionist to chase it and it then arrived within a few days. its definitely worth chasing it up.

I'll give them a call monday and plead my case. Really hoping we get something before the trip, even an appointment letter for one of the things they have referred her for.

Mine can be 2-6 weeks. In all cases they have remembered what happened in the session so it's just the delay from hand written notes > computer. Mine are always accurate
