DSM V and ADOS

Afternoon...

I am confused, I hear about ADOS all the time on here, but what is DSM V? is is another diagnostic tool?

DSM V is a manual of psychiatric disorders, with descriptions of each one in it.

ADOS is a tool for assessing, via play whether a child has an ASD, using various tasks which explore imagination, social communication skills, literal thinking etc.
