SALT recommendations

I apologise in advance as I am sure this has been covered numerous times before.

I wondered if anyone could recommend a SALT we could take DD(8) to see please? She has a diagnosis of Verbal Dyspraxia amongst other ones and has received lots of NHS therapy over the years. However she was recently diagnosed with ASD and a separate speech disorder (i.e. not connected to the Verbal Dyspraxia) by Daphne Keen. She has been reassessed by the local NHS team but I am not terribly optimistic that anything will come of it or that we would be getting the degree of help she needs.

School are reporting that her language comprehension is affecting her academically and we are aware that her language is disordered and her understanding is impacted. She also has problems with speed and pitch which can make her unintelligible.

We would like to get a full assessment of her language problems done with a thorough report so we are more comfortable with what it is she needs help with and where her strengths and weaknesses are.

We are just north of London but can travel to someone if they are highly recommended. I have just emailed Jackie Harland and Margo Sharp but would be interested to hear of any others anyone could suggest.

Many thanks as always

I don't know a SLT to recommend but wanted to mention ICAN Meath School (Surrey) offers 2 days assessments at the school (not just for prospective pupils but also for families wanting independent advise on what educational support their child needs)
